St. John Henry Newman was just canonized last Fall, but many people do not know him very well! Please join us for a series of four Wednesday lectures starting Wed., July 29th, in order to become better acquainted with Newman's life story, sermons, writings, poetry, prayers, meditations, and devotions.
Fr. Nathan Davis will give each talk (about an hour long) aimed at familiarizing us with the highlights of this holy man's long life and numerous published works. Fr. Davis will celebrate a 7 p.m. Divine Worship Mass, and then give his talk shortly after the Mass ends.
Here are the topics for each Wednesday session:
July 29 - Newman’s Life Story
August 5 - Newman’s Sermons
August 12 - Newman’s Writings, Poetry and Letters
August 19 - Newman’s Prayers, Meditations and Devotions.
Each talk is at the St. Kateri - St. Cecilia church where St. Alban's is co-located: 2732 Culver Rd., Rochester, NY 14622.
Please register in advance here so Fr. Davis has an idea of how many people to expect and prepare materials for each talk. Thanks & God bless!
