Introducing our first-ever St. Alban’s Kids Christmas pageant! We will be performing on Saturday, January 1st date, exact time TBD. The pageant is open to kids ages 4-14.
Speaking roles will be open to kids who are at reading age and above. Our youngest performers will be in our chorus and learn all the fun songs and choreography along with the rest of the cast. See the audition form and cast list attached so you can let us know what size role you would like. Singingauditions are required only if you’re interested in a solo or a duet. You just need to prepare your favorite Christmas carol.
Parishioner Alexis Smith will be hosting placement auditions for speaking roles and certain singing roles on Sunday, November 28th at 4:30 pm. She will also be accepting video auditions if you can’t make auditions. Please turn them in by Sunday evening, November 28th. You can email her for a copy of the script.
Rehearsals will be once a week for an hour and a half. Music practice will be for the first forty-five minutes and children in the chorus will be dismissed at the end. Children with speaking lines will stay for the second half to run lines and blocking.
We are also looking for a few more volunteers to help out! We need someone to help with props, an assistant for the director, a person to help out with microphones and sound, someone to film the program during the performance, and someone to design the program. We are so excited to be presenting this play for the first time and are looking forward to telling the story of Christ’s birth with the parish!
