Ordinariate Catholics in the U.K. are getting their first bishop, who also hails from their Anglican heritage, from Pope Francis. Our Bishop Steven J. Lopes welcomed the news as a great sign for the Ordinariates worldwide. (Link to OSV News article at The Catholic Register)

St. Alban's music director Aaron Tan organized the first-ever Rochester Hymn Fest, where St. Alban's and 5 other area Christian churches, gathered April 28 to sing hymns together chosen from their different congregations' traditions.

Our Bishop Steven J. Lopes celebrated the Ordinariate's Chrism Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham in Houston.

A St. Alban's community meeting at St. Cecilia church is scheduled for Divine Mercy Sunday, April 7 at 1:00pm. A potluck luncheon starts at 1 p.m. followed by the meeting itself to discuss our next steps. Come and join us!

Our Mission and Ministry clothing drive is this week, May 14 - May 21, for our elders residing in local nursing homes.

We have two presentations and invitations Sunday, May 7 and May 21, on areas of St. Alban's where you can help us carry out our mission to spread the Gospel here in Rochester through these key areas: Intercession, Discipleship, Evangelization, Action, and Social.

The Lent Ember Days are March 1, 3, and 4, and are an opportunity for us to fast and pray for the Lord Jesus to send new vocations to ministry in His holy Church, and for Christians to take up their discipleship with renewed vigor and bravely carry out the vocations Jesus has given them in the world.
