We are followers of Jesus Christ living in joyful, loving fellowship within his Catholic Church through the Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter.
Christ the King Sunday
Potluck, Choral Evensong & Benediction
5:00pm (Dinner) 7:00pm (Evensong)
Celebrate the end of the liturgical year with St. Alban's on Christ the King Sunday. We're having a 5pm potluck dinner celebration, followed by 7pm Solemn Choral Evensong with Eucharistic exposition and benediction.
St. Alban's also celebrates a 7 pm Evensong every Sunday of the month. Solemn Evensong with Eucharistic exposition and benediction takes place every first Sunday of the month and on certain solemnities. The other Sundays are prayed as a spoken evening prayer service without singing. All are invited to join us for what the Psalmist David calls "worship in the beauty of holiness!"
Evensong is the Ordinariate's form of the Catholic Church's Evening Prayer that comes to us from our Anglican tradition. It is part of the Liturgy of the Hours, which the Second Vatican Council said is meant to "sanctify the day."
Evensong is a beautiful time to grow in your love and fellowship with Jesus Christ as you hear his love for you proclaimed in lessons, psalms, and canticles taken from the Bible.
Learn more here about how Evensong as part of the Church's Liturgy of the Hours can help you grow in holiness and make Jesus the pattern of your life.
