St. Alban's Catholic Church will be offering a 4-week community discussion on Bishop Robert Barron’s "Letter to a Suffering Church," which reflects on the sex abuse scandal. Our community discussion will be held in the Newcomb Friendship Center of St. Cecilia's church. It starts on Wednesday, September 11th at 7:00 p.m., continues on September 18th, and September 25th and will be concluded with a Mass of Reparation on the Feast Day of the Holy Guardian Angels on Wednesday, October 2nd at 7:00 p.m.
We will have the "Letter to a Suffering Church" books
free of charge to participants. Also, we recommend that you bring your Bible as well, but it is not necessary to participate. We aim to have an honest and open discussion that will help us listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ is calling each of us to do in response to the sex abuse scandal and how we must embrace the call to holiness to drive out the corruption in his Church.
