Evensong Moves to First Fridays

The Fellowship of St. Alban is discontinuing 3rd Thursday Evensong and is beginning its monthly First Friday Evensong on Friday, Feb. 1, the Eve of Candlemas, from 7 - 7:30 p.m.

Evensong is the Ordinariate's English-Catholic evening prayer service with psalms, readings, canticles, hymns, and Anglican chant. 

Evensong is part of the rich heritage of the English Church, and in the Ordinariate, helps fulfill the Second Vatican Council's vision for the restoration of Catholic parish common prayer using the Liturgy of the Hours. Evensong is led by either a priest, deacon, acolyte, or lay person.
